Octagonal roller in galvanized iron for roller shutters (ML)
Octagonal iron roller for roller shutters cut to size. Available thicknesses: 6/10, 8/10, 10/10, 11/10. Available diameters: 40mm, 60mm and 70mm.
Rollers for roller shutters (or awnings) differ according to their diameter and according to the thickness of the iron sheet.
Usually standard rollers have a diameter of 60 mm (6 cm). . 40mm (4cm) rollers are used when there is little space inside the box. While the 70 mm (7 cm) rollers are used for very heavy or large roller shutters.
As for the thickness: for roller shutters with belt or winch operation, 6 rollers are used. / 10 while for maneuvers with motor we recommend 8/10 rollers.
For 6/10 we mean a thickness of 6 tenths of a millimeter, that is 0.60 mm.
For 8/10 we mean a thickness of 8 tenths of a millimeter, that is 0.80 mm.
For 10/10 we mean a thickness of 1 mm.
For 11 / 10 means a thickness of 1.10 mm.
How to measure the roller?
In the case of a replacement of an old roller (for example to switch from the belt operation to maneuver with motor) just take the measurement of the old roller, or from bracket to bracket.
In the case of a new installation it is advisable to take the measurement of the window opening plus 25 cm.
Remember that it is always possible to cut the roller with a hacksaw or with a fle x and therefore in doubt it is advisable to buy it longer. We also have adjustable caps or roller extensions that allow you to solve problems related to wrong measurements.
